Live on Stage
It has been 13 months since theatres up and down the country closed their doors. Save for a few socially distanced performances at the end of 2020, there has been no live entertainment in our theatres for over a year. This all changes when, if all things remain on track, theatres reopen without the need for contact restrictions on Monday 21st June.
Please note that we have retained social distancing in the Front and Upper Circle for those guests which would prefer space and would still like to come along and enjoy this special night of entertainment
One of the first shows to welcome audiences will be the aptly named Life 2.0. The show takes place at The Deco Theatre in Northampton on Friday 25th June. It’s an all-star variety starring X-Factor and Eurovision star Andy Abraham, along with comedian Kev Orkian, ventriloquist Steve Hewlett and top impressionist John Clegg.
As well as the star names the concert will showcase artists who, during lockdown, recorded an album of music to creatively express their feeling and emotions surrounding the pandemic. The album, also titled Life 2.0 was produced to raise awareness of the hidden consequence of the pandemic – mental health.
All profits from the show will be going to Mind. Mind, the mental health charity, provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. They won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect. www.mind.org.uk
